Jerusalem , Only for His People?
by YeriYah Wolf

The flashing lights and piercing siren brought the shiny sports car to rest along side the highway.

“Sir, I need to see your drivers’ license and registration please”.

‘Well officer, I have a valid license but these sporty wheels were a gift, a loving gift given me by a dear acquaintance.”

Unflinchingly the officer commanded,

“Out of the car and keep your hands where I can see them!”

“But Sir, I did not steal the car! Lula Mae gave it to me willingly.”

“Well Mr. John, Lula Mae did not own this expensive property, now its rightful owner has reported it stolen.

You can now take your LEFT hand off of the hood and carefully place it behind your back. You must keep your feet spread apart, please.”

Mr. John continued to weakly whine, “but Lula, Lula Mae freely gave it to me.”

If we are not yet the rightful owners of a property, and we take ownership privileges, we are either thieves or trespassers.

We are told where we must not put our full faith and credit.

We all find ourselves deeply involved in a life and death struggle.

Our heart’s desire is a full return to our ‘ Jerusalem ’.

We seek that promised teacher of righteousness that he can show the way to such wonder and opulence, the teacher, namely our HaGadol our HaYara.

We hunger for restoration; for peace, wholeness, prosperity, safety and perfect order, in one delightful Hebrew word ‘Shalom’ and all that connotes.

We are told in Tehillim Ps 146:3

‘Do not put your trust in princes, in the son of man, where there can be no deliverance.’

Where then is our authority? The prophet Micah in chapter seven, verses 5 through 14 gives us a tutorial in just who to trust.

‘Do not trust a neighbor; put no confidence in a friend.

Even with her who lies in your embrace be careful with your words.

For a son dishonors his father, a daughter rises up against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law-- a man's enemies are the members of his own household.

But, as for me, I watch in hope for YHWH, I wait for my Elohiym, my Savior; my El will hear me.

Do not gloat over me, my enemy! Though I have fallen, I will rise.

Though I sit in darkness, YHWH will be my light.

Because I have sinned against Him, I will bear YHWH's wrath, until He pleads my case and establishes my right.

He will bring me out into the light; I will see His righteousness. Then my enemy will see it and she will be covered with shame,

she who said to me, "Where is YHWH your Mighty One" My eyes will see her downfall;

even now she will be trampled underfoot like the soft clay in the street.

The day for building your walls will come, the day for extending your boundaries.

In that day people will come to you from Assyria and the cities of Egypt, even from Egypt to the Euphrates and from sea to sea and from mountain to mountain.

The earth will become desolate because of its inhabitants, as the result of their deeds.

Feed your people by the power of your scepter, that flock of your inheritance, which lives alone in a wooded garden land.

Let us feed in the abundance of plenteous testimony as we did in days long ago.

So just what is a Jew or more precisely, can we lose our right to be called His inheritance, His people?

If we are cut off from His people do we not forgo our inheritance?

Refer to words # 3772  karath (kaw-rath) and #3582  kachad- to understand ‘cut off’

Hear Ezek 14:7-11 so that YHWH’s meaning of inclusion or exclusion can be understood.

"'When any Israelite or any alien living in Israel separates himself from Me

and sets up idols in his heart and puts a stumbling block of iniquity before his face

and then goes to a prophet to inquire of Me, I, YHWH will answer him Myself.

I will set My face against that man and make him an example and a byword.

I will cut him off from My people. Then you will know that I am YHWH.

And if a prophet is enticed to utter a prophecy (to this man), I, YHWH have deceived that prophet,

and I will stretch out My hand against him and destroy him from among My people Israel .

They will bear their guilt-- the prophet will be as guilty as the one who consults him.

When we return to Him He will return to us.

Ezek 14:6

"Therefore say to the house of Israel , 'This is what Adonai YHWH says: Repent! Turn from your idols and renounce all your detestable practices!”

(But)

14:11
“When the people of Israel no longer stray from Me, nor defile themselves anymore with all their sins. Then they will be My people, and I will be their Elohiym, declares Adonai YHWH.'"

When we are owned by Him we will have ownership of the teachings the testimonies, the inheritance of All that is Shalom.

Yerushalayim ( Jerusalem ) "teaching of peace" will belong to us, His faithful.

YermeYahu 32:37-40
Hear Me. I will gather them out of all countries, where I have driven them in My anger and in My fury and in great wrath. I will bring them again to this place and I will cause them to dwell safely.

They shall be My people, and I will be their Elohiym. I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me forever, for their good and the good of their children after them and I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them but do them good, but I will put My fear in their hearts that they shall not depart from Me.

So then in whose hands is the ownership of Jerusalem ?

Just who is her rightful owner? Can ownership be claimed unless YHWH Himself authorizes it?

Has He promised to plead our case?

Can we accept undeeded entitlement?

How are WE more entitled than our Moslem, ba’al worshiping brothers, to its protection and sovereignty unless YHWH establishes our claim?

If He is excluded we have no claim.

Dear ones, shouldn’t we now begin to find His way and faithfully do His will? Isn’t that the formula for becoming His people?

“Sir, keep your feet spread apart and slowly bring your right hand behind your back. Please remember, anything you say or do can and will have a bearing on the outcome of this litigation.”

I offer these questions for consideration.

(1) Who needs to repent and return to Him?

(2) Why would that include those who were born to Jewish parents?

(3) What is the land without faithfulness?

(4) Today, are there any who are authorized by YHWH to establish His Jerusalem ?
